{"91111":{"#nid":"91111","#data":{"type":"event","title":"(10-0921) Prof. Ralph Jimenez, University of Colorado at Boulder","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EProf. Ralph Jimenez, University of Colorado at Boulder\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EUltrafast spectroscopy and microfluidics-based methods for investigating protein dynamics\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EPhysical Chemistry Seminar Series\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EMy group develops optical methods to quantify biophysical phenomena such as protein dynamics and cellular mechanical properties, and biotechnologically-relevant problems such as photosynthesis and lipid accumulation in algae. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EIn this seminar, I will discuss one perspective on the importance of sub-nanosecond conformational fluctuations of proteins, and describe development of new methods for measuring dynamics and conformational heterogeneity with femtosecond spectroscopy.
