{"93471":{"#nid":"93471","#data":{"type":"event","title":"(08-0904) Prof. Stephen Leone, UC Berkeley, LBNL","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EProf. Stephen Leone, UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ETime for Molecular Dynamics\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EExperiments are described to study molecular dynamics over 16 orders of magnitude in time, from seconds to attoseconds.  By the generation of ultrafast high order harmonics in the vacuum ultraviolet and soft x-ray region, molecular dissociation and ionization processes are explored by probing x-ray core level spectroscopic transitions.  Results reveal alignment effects, molecular dissociation pathways, and optically-induced absorption changes.
